After university period ( Master in Business Administration, University of Münster ) Thomas Meier founded la Movida, language travel agency specialized on Spanish language courses, in 1991.

In 1995 Thomas founded Carpe Diem, language travel agency and later took over of Actilingua language travel, Vienna .Integration into Carpe Diem.

Founder of TravelWorks Work " Travel programmes worldwide Volunteer programmes in 2004 he took over of CIEE Germany and posterior integration into TravelWorks.

Foundation of e-traffix E-Commerce Service Provider for carpe diem and TravelWorks (2005).

In October 2006 Thomas sold his companies to UK based Holidaybreak plc., a holding of specialist tour operators with a group turnover of more than 300 million GBP. Thomas will remain as Managing Director with his team of over 40 employees.
